Found some fun in the drag section of GT4 and it's pretty amazing how much power you can squeeze out on suspension tuning alone! On the Galant VR4, it was pretty frustrating getting 10.5 with powermods maxed out and Nitrous. Did some suspension work and I got my beast down to:

9.945@142mph

All on a Evo3 Big16G and 375hp! Ok, ok, so I used a 100shot, but still! Anyone wanna take up the challenge on the same car?

I think I got my vr4 into the high 10's without sacrificing the suspension so it would still handle at the tracks. I just learned the other day though that you can save different suspension settings to the same car though so I might have to dink with it some more.

It's sweet, if you hold the rpms at 5500-6000 before launching it using the analog gas pedal on the controller, you can actually net better times LOL! AWD Ownz. They really need a section dedicated for dragsters now that Gran Turismo is developing pretty far...but this is a good start :thumb:

Starting in second gear helps in some of the higher horsepower cars.

You can actually save up to three different settings for each car :thumb:

Played around some with my Galant VR4, got a couple low 10s, then I posted my quickest E.T.

9.994@143mph

You got my e.t. beat :D But I beat you my 1 mph :sneaky:

My best time i believe with my Galant VR4 was 9.88X. My best prior to that was a bunch of 10.03x's but finnaly i broke the 9's. I had to tweak the suspension and a few other things a bit more but i did it.

I havent been messing with the gvr4, but i got the evo mr to run 9.125 and my sti spec c to run "drum roll" 8.268 :thumb:

Can somebody beat my 8.268 with the spec c or any other 4 cylinder turbo awd car? :sneaky:

Best I can do is 8.315@173mph with my WRX STi

I just ran a 8.166 with the STi SPEC C

Got you beat :thumb:

9.994@143mph Was my same exact time with my GVR4.

Nice. Keep in mind i havent messed with suspension, just bought the racing suspension but left it on default setting.

Is it recommended to lower the car or raise it up, stiffen the suspension or keep it loose? Does downforce help?

I bought the suspension and just lowered both cars. Take all downforce off, this reduces drag and will increase top end.
I haven't done drag racing in a while with the game. The last I can remember with the suspension was I made camber and toe all zero. I didn't touch spring rates or shock stiffness

Thanx

Just got the spec c to run a 7.981...my first 7 second pass in the game :thumb:
Anyone get a non awd car to run 8s or lower?
