i may be wrong..but in the game you can purchase a 91 rx7 FD in the used showroom. but i thought in 91 mazda still had only the FC and didnt start making the FD til 93.
 
Yeah, they started the US models later then the JDM models. Like they started the last gen 300ZX in like 1989, the S14 Silvia in 1993, the MKIV Supra in 1992, so on. I'm not absolutely positive though.
 
If you look inside the car you will see the steering wheel on the right hand side(look hard). You can also see the wheels in GT3 depecting JDM models and the state versions. The HP in some of the FD's (i used to have a FC) says 218 and its supposed to be 255. ;)

I think GT4 uses wheel horsepower, not crank horsepower, which is what factory ratings are.
