Ohkae i really have no idea how this happened, but somehow it did. Overjoyed they actually had an Eclipse in the game, it was the second car I bought ( waited out for the black one instead of the red) and even more so because it was a 2Ga like my own car. After doing the second endurance race a time or two more i decided to fully tune the car. After doing so I happily headed over to the test track and couldnt wait to set the pace for the rest of my cars.

Now i went so far as to run it completely stock once, with a pull of somewhere around 15 seconds. With that in mind i hoped to run atleast high low 13s or or high 12s with the new setup. Now i don't know how the hell or why but as soon as i launched the boost spiked up about half the way and then creeped back down to vacuum as it reached redline, shifted watched it spike back up a bit higher and then fall back down again, this time actually falling into negative vacuum. Each shift spiked higher and then fell lower, confusing the hell out of my and leaving me with something along the lines of a 14.4. I tried another run, this time using a hundred shot of nitrous and while i was shooting the N2o the car didnt generate any boost at all and actually ran a bit slower. Frustrated i pulled the turbo and the nos out the car and ran it managing a 14.5. I tried the car out on other tracks and the same thing happened, the car ran terrible.

All and all this is depressing. I finally get my car in the game and its broken to holy hell, granted it can still run a quarter mile faster then my own car x.x. Does anyone have any idea what the hell is up, or if you've had the same problem?
 
More than a few cars with the stock turbos boost will fall off getting closer to redline.

Yes, I shift the DSMs and a few other turbo'ed cars at 6200-6500, any later and you loose power. Id say change the oil, if you havent already. Also, try a different controller, LOL. Maybe your gas button is owned, like mine is from so much GT3. It sometimes gets stuck :rolleyes:
 
What i described occured with automatic and manuel transmissions so thats not the problem, and i've changed the oil out when i got it, and then again after this happened to no avail. My controller is fine and i've even tried this at a friends house where it happened again. Granted i understand losing SOME boost is understandable dropping down to no boost or even into negative vacuum is not right. Is your eclipse doing this at all or does yours work?
 
did you upgrade the tranny, flywheel and pressure plate to race spec. if the lag between shifts is too big, yes you will drop into negative vaccum.... think about it. that's like pushing the clutch in for 3 seconds, releasing it , then shifting....

i'll go earn up some money and buy a eclipse to see if i can get mine to run some decent numbers. :thumb:
 
stage 3 turbo with 100 shot of nitrous and extensive tunning yielded a best of 12.598

stock turbo with 100 shot of nitrous and the same tuning setup used for the stage 3 turbo and I ran a 12.566.

The stock turbo obviously has a better torque curve (if you look at the little graph up in the corner). it's torque peaks very early and stays almost flat up to the redline... with the stage 3 turbo it's a bit late and drops off faster.

never seen anything like this.
