t28 + new intercooler

Hey guys. Finally got the car put back together and back from the paint booth. I didn't cut up the front end for a fmic so what options do I have if I go with the FP t-28 turbo? I've heard of putting supra smic but I dont want it looking all ghetto and hanging out infront of the tire. If I throw a boost controller, FP t-28, new smic (stock), injectors and pullies (need to replace lifters) I should be fine right? I'm not going to heat soak the system on track days? This car is just for auto cross and fun. I dont need high hp numbers cause I'll be buing an STI soon. Right now it runs super rich and shoots flames with my current set up. My main goal is to get up running smooth and add some more power.

The FP-B28 flows just a little less than a Evo 3 16g, can you run a new stock SMIC? sure but it will heatsoak as fast as an old SMIC.

Supra Sidemounts are nice, Dejon tool once upon a time made a nice upgraded sidemount, and a Hahn Super would also fit the bill.

A large Front mount wouldn't be applicable in this situation, there are smaller ones which don't require as much cutting. I run a same side FMIC, and only had to slightlyy trim the bottom section of the bumper to fit.

What are you tuning with?
What injectors do you plan to use?
DiD you happen to take a look at the Upgrade path?

Hey man, I don't really have any tech advice for you, but I am looking at my future turbo upgrade for my gsx at the moment as well and FP no longer has the B28 on their website. Looks like you'll have to find left overs from someone else and doesn't look like they are selling them anymore? I'd start looking into the E316g that was mentioned above. I believe extremepsi and a couple of other places sell install kits for 2Gs that'll allow us to bolt them onto our otherwise stock setups. Good luck!

Just slapped a T28 from FP on my gsx with 750cc injectors and DSM link, I recommend the turbo to anyone.. No lag, and that little bastard pulls till redline... It's flow is almost the exact as the 16g with no lag

I run a punishment fmic w. A ets t25 pipe on my car. Works fine and can't really tell the difference in spool cause it's short route.

I was going to go with DSM link with maybe 750cc injectors. I just painted the whole car like a month ago so I would hate to have to take it back after cutting the front up for a FMIC. How much do you usually have to cut with say a Greddy or Apexi? I've never done that before so I'd hate to have to get it repainted after. I've had the fuel system cleaned and it didnt fix the flames I shoot out the back for running rich. So if I pop the top to replace the bad lifters I was going to just replace the injectors, fuel pump and go with DSM link. Right now all my money is in the suspension, tires, trans/clutch, and body. It's going to be an autocross only car which is why I was leaning to the smaller turbo and sidemount.

I originally was following the upgrade path but after I was ran off the road the parts I needed to replace took a higher priority. I lost my gauges due to wiring as well so I need to get all new electronics. Plus the C2 super bright blue looks nice but is an eye sore haha I wanna go black face with colored numbers this time.
