Turbo noise?? Sounds like a siren. Only happens maybe 5% of the time. When it happens I can only boost 3psi. Lasts 10-30 seconds at a time, only under boost. Turbo is a 14b with side to side and in and out shaft play. There is no smoke. It is burning a little bit of oil.
The other 95% of the time it boosts strong and hard. I hear it spool and blow off (recirculated). Boosts 12psi with the MBC all the way out. I've done many boost leak tests and have fixed all but a small leak, on the IM gasket best I can figure, maybe the TB shaft seals. At first I couldn't even get it to hold 3psi, now it will hold up to 15psi.
I've already ordered another 14b with no shaft play to see if it fixes the problem but I wanted y'alls opinion on the noise. Here it is:

Thanks!

Knew you'd post a picture like mine at some point. Look at the tips of the inducer blades. Notice that small burr that's forming? You're hitting the inside of the compressor housing. Time for a rebuild (and wheel replacement).
