That appears to be a stock turbo off of an evo 8
EDIT: just ran the numbers, if you google search the TD05HR-16G6-9.8T it will show its from an evo8.

flow wise it will flow just like an evo3 16g but in order to make it fit you will either have to make a custom manifold and down pipe or you can run the evo 8 exh mani, but then you will have to relocate the alternator and possibly the power steering and still make a custom downpipe. Do a search on here for evo8 turbo and you will find all the information. Most will say not to do it but if you can fabricate and weld then i say go for it and be sure to post pics.

Just to confirm with the EVO8 comment.

It is indeed a TD05HR 16G6 9.8T

the minor details are minimal but the major differences are:

Reverse rotation
Twinscroll design 9.8cm turbine housing with a single wastegate flap

There have been people that have retro-fitted Evo turbo's into DSM's but the price of retro-fitting, including oil lines, coolant lines, manifold and O2 housing is not worth the hassle.

I would suggest sticking with an Evo3 16G if that is your desired setup. it's a direct bolt-on and couple it with the higher flowing Evo3 O2 housing and you've got a great flowing combo.

does anyone know any civic idiots that would buy this turbo LOL i need a bigger one
Not really.

Nobody's mass-producing manifolds yet for the 'tards to mount them to their cars, so the turbos are not worth much. I've literally watched good, working Evo VIII 16G's end for under $100 on eBay because no one can use them except another Evo guy.

If it had the 10.5cm turbine housing, it would be worth considerably more.

I'd suggest hanging on to it for now- perhaps the market will come back when / if some Chinese company starts building manifolds that allow this turbo to fit other cars.

ebay sell an adapter for our manifold
Sounds like a fine piece....adapt a round, single-scroll manifold to a off-centered twin-scroll flange.

I wonder if the flange also flips the engine and transmission 180* so the inlet and outlet of the turbo would be on the proper side?
