turbine housing help

I have two turbine housings, both have the number 78-11830 on the o2 housing side. However on the side which faces the center section they have different numbers. the first one has the numbers D2 8 on it while the other has what looks like D2 16, any idea what these housing are. I know they are both 7cm's but they look a little different on the inside where the turbine wheel would be. Im confused and I probably confused everyone else reading this

Look different how? Is the housing bigger where the wheel would be on one than the other? Is the outlet of one bigger than the other?

Without photos, I can't offer much advice.

I 've seen a bunch of 16g's both small and big with 78-11830 housings. These are 7cm^2 for the td05h turbines.

the one housing appears to have a "lip" where it goes against the center section while the other doesnt. My camera is old school, so the pics aren't the best.

pic 1 & 3 are housing "A" pic 2&4 are housing "B"

Housing "A" appears to be your normal TD05H turbine housing.

Housing "B" looks like a Mitsu housing that has been machined to accept a Garrett CHRA....possibly from the old Extreme Turbo Mutt. It's probably machined for a T31 (Stage 3 Garrett) turbine wheel.

that would explain why the "metal cover thing" directly under the turbine wheel on the center section kinda flop around when housing "B" is on. When housing "a" is on everything is snug and no noises. Looks like I need a new housing if I want to go internally gated. Thanks for the help.
