I'm running HRC Super 16G, which is a Small 16G compressor and TD05H turbine in a TD06 CHRA.
The TD06 CHRAs use a M12x1.5 banjo for the oil feed, instead of the M12x1.25 used in the TD05s.
I've had nothing but bad luck with the M12x1.5 banjo bolt.
At first I couldn't find one anywhere, so I had a Machine Shop make me one out of a M12x1.5 bolt. It worked O.K., but oil would creep up the threads since the bolt was threaded the whole way, and leak a little. Then when I was tightening the banjo, it broke because the shop made the sideways holes a little too big. Removing the piece of bolt that was left in the CHRA involved me removing the whole turbo that I had just installed two days earlier.
I went to the Mitsu Dealership to get one, they charged me $22 for one banjo bolt, and when I got it home, it was the wrong thread pitch.
Then I found SlowBoy had a banjo for their 20Gs, its a XRP #494815, M12x1.5.
The only problem with it is the head of the bolt is smaller then the crush washer. So it bends the top crush washer concave and leaks a little. It doesn't leak much, just a drop or two, but I'm afraid it will squirt oil at high pressures(high rpms).
Does anyone know where I can find a OEM style M12x1.5 banjo bolt? I know the Syclone/Typhoons used them with their 17C turbos and some of the Fuso trucks also have the TD06 CHRA, I just can't find anywhere to order them.
Also what are you guys with TD06 CHRAs (20Gs, Greens & Reds, Franks, etc.) using for your oil feeds?
Thanks.
