Ok so after my 50 trim install I have had nothing but problems. I haven't seen one psi of boost since the install. Today I boost leak tested it and found one major leak, so I repaired that and was thinking "great, that little leak was all it was". So I eagerly hop into the car to take it for a spin and get out on a back road to open it up a little bit, only to find that there is still no boost. I have thoroughly boost leak tested it and fixed all of them and the wastegate is brand new (shouldn't be leaking and from what i can tell isn't). Are there any other ideas as to what could cause this, and what I should do to test it further?

Can you hear the turbo spooling? Try checking the pressure lines on the wastegate and on the BOV, if one of those is disconnected you could be just bypassing most of your exhaust flow or dumping all of the charged air. If you can not here the turbo spooling at all make sure that your turbo did not lock up.

Does the turbo shaft spin freely when you test it by hand? Also make sure the wastegate is hooked up right (use the side port)

There's not a lot i can think of that would stop you frOMG etting boost. Aside from leaks you really only have to worry about a stuck wastegate and a frozen shaft on the turbo.

Like Spoonman said, can you hear the turbo spooling at all?

The wastegate is a Godspeed projects 38mm, the turbo is brand new and it does spin freely by hand. I checked the lines yesterday and they all seemed to be in good shape. I am just fed up with this problem and am going through all the steps to check everything out that is on here, and I still end up with nothing.

did the wastegate come with a sealing ring? Did you put that in? Is it dumped to atmosphere? Can you hear it dumping if so? Can you hear the turbo spool?

It does have the seal ring installed and it is dumping to the atmosphere, but it doesn't sound like it is opening up at all. I guess the boost isn't getting high enough to allow it to open? Also, it sounds like the turbo is trying to spool but is letting off the pressure (kind of surging a little bit but it never makes 1 psi).

Not that I could tell. (I would have heard it during the boost leak test right)? I am going to try and retest everything today or tomorrow so if anybody has any suggestions, I am willing to try if it will get this thing running.

what ended up being the problem I am have the same problem
