Yo,

Got a decent boost guage off ebay, and it has 4 wires connected to it that came with a fitted A pillar frame. Now ive tried looking up where / how to install the boost guage for 2g but all the vfaq links are down as well as the pictures.

Curious, how do i get the 4 wires (that are only a foot long at best) from the boost guage to where they need to be installed to? And where are the best places to match these wires to?

I believe the wires are ground, power, 2 other colors, and then the vacuum line obviously. The boost guage didn't come with directions, so any help i could get would be appreciated. Like i said, i tried searching for info, but reliable and quality source couldn't be found.

what brand?

black=ground
red=power
then if the gauge changes color or remembers anythign there will be another power one that needs to go to the battery

and not sure what the last wire is

i think my Glow shift one has 3 wire for those 3 places i stated

ugh i dont remember what the brand is until i get home and look at the thing.

What troubles me is there is no room to feed the wires down towards the fusebox. How did you guys do this? Coat hanger? also, my wires they gave me are only a foot long at best..will i have to get 4 more strips of wire with the appropriate color to lengthen them? Not exactly sure whats the best way to combine different wires either (to lengthen)

Don't lengthen the wires on the gauge. Feed the wires up to your gauge pillar, then splice them there. I had trouble feeding the wires up also, ended up using a piece of solid 12 AWG wire to fish it. Also if you need a power source a lot of people splice on to the cigarette lighter instead of messing with the fuse box.

Most people I know pull there power off of the rear tail light power wire. It's extremely easy to get to. Just pull off the trim panel running across the bottom of the door frame and pull up the carpeting a little bit and you'll see a nice big mass of wires. I can't quite remember which color it is but you should be able to find that on here pretty easily. As for the other two wires on the gauge I wouldn't be able to tell you what they're for unless I've got a brand name and wire colors. Let me know.
