BEP 46 or 50 trim?

How much of a difference is there between the 46 and 50 trim turbos from Bullseye?? They both are in a t04e housing. I was looking into them both for my upgrade from at Fp t28. I would like to be shooting for around 350-420 hp with of course, supporting mods.

I would say def go with the 50trim, that turbo has been proven to be a great pump gas turbo and with the right supporting mods and good tune 400whp is attainable. I have never really heard of anyone running a 46trim.

50 trim for sure for that power range. You want to be able to have a little bit left over and I dont see that with the 46 trim.

The 46-trim is a much smaller wheel, somewhere around 36-38 lbs/min, where the 50 trim flows 49 lbs/min, so it really depends on your power goals and supporting mods. The 46 trim is slightly larger than a 16g ( 350-375 HP ) where the 50 trim will make ( 400-450 HP )

I have always liked the 50 trim turbos. I just didn't know how much of a difference there was between the two. I will most likely run around 22 pounds on 99 octane. Be nice if I could hit low 12's with it.

The 46 trim isn't much of an upgrade over a standard 20G compressor. Something like 10cfm more.

Low 12's should be a breeze at 22psi. A good DSM buddy ran a 12.43 at 18psi on an internally-gated SBR G50.

I have a new 50-trim BEP bolt on internally gated turbo that I can let go for a good deal. It was supposed to go on my 1g but I sold it with the V-trim that I had put on it a while back.

Also, pushing the 46-trim to the 12's will be sort of tough, but with a 50-trim it should be a breeze with the correct supporting mods.

I'm actually looking for a Garrett 46-trim compressor to get this one turbo at my shop fixed up. Inducer should be 2.003", exducer 2.950". If anyone has a new one or a nice used one they'd like to part with, PM me.

is there a difference between the spool on the 46 v 50 trim.......

Im having a hell of a time deciding between all the badass 50 trims out there, but spool is playing a big role. Hence my question.

Spool is mostly determined by the turbine side, so if you select the same turbine wheel and turbine housing A/R the spool will be the same.
