I am building a 2.3 stroker over the winter, and have a feeling that it will be out-flowing the PTE 50 trim i currently have on the car, leading to surge, creep, and too many obnoxious turbo noises.
I was thinking about upgrading to a GT35r, and was looking at a few different option, one being the bolt-on type, as i have the SBR cast manifold(latest rev)and drive the car ALOT, so i don't know if a tubular will have the reliablity that i am looking for.
Will any of the "maxed out" mitsubishi turbine housings flow enough for this turbo, or will it be a crap shoot, that again will lead to surge, creep, and more obnoxious noises than i want to deal with.
Let me know what ya'll think, I'd like to stay cast, just for the reliability factor, i build my stuff to last a long time, and i'd rather do it right than hack it up. Although some times cost does outweigh the overall beneifit(4 inch PVC intakeFTW)
And bling is not a factor at all. No bling. Bling bad.
Thanks again, and don't be afraid to let me know what you think.

Filled out most of it, I have an external gate on there now, but i am not using it, i am using the 15 setting on the PTE internal.
I've already checked out some threads on the subject of strokers and turbos, I know the tits would be a full garrett or FP setup, but i was wondering if i would be beating a dead horse by retaining the SBR manifold, Punishment downpipe, and going with a mitsu turbine housing.

If you don't want to go with the FP or full garrett, you can go with any big turbo like the 60trim or the FP red. They both use the Mitsubishi type turbine housing.

The lack of larger turbine housings for the MHI flange will always be a big drawback, especially when you get into the bigger wheels (both compressor/turbine). Fortunately, this doesn't become a big issue until you start looking north of ~450-500 whp.
