i just recently swaped out my t25 for a big 16g..... the install we very smooth and so did the startup and test run........... i go out to the garage the next morning and notice a a little oil spot.... upon further inspection i noticed a small oil drip coming from the oil return line where it connects to the oil pan.... i removed it and looked for damage and there was none... so i reinstalled it and filled the car for a test run........ again it was perfect so i thought problem solved...... i just checked today and it is leaking a little oil from the same spot....... why is this..... is it leaking from the bolts thaqt hold the flange on or from the oil line connector that screws into the flange..... could i just use tephlon tape or something to solve this..... and also... how many of you guys swap or remove one of the cooling fans when you do the swap......

It is most likely leaking from where the bolts go into the pan. Try taking them out and putting some ultra black rtv on the threads, then screw it back in and let it sit over night to cure. Thats what I did, and havent had a problem since.

You actually need crush washer on the oil return line bolts. I tried rtv before but, it did not help. I finally went to RRE and got the right washers. I later got a crush washer set and it was a wise investment.

Use copper crush washers between the bolt head and the flange. It's best not to use RTV. Original size is 6mm although 1/4" will also work. It would be wise to replace the oem style gasket between the flange and oil pan with a new one if you have had to remove and replace it several times.

I couldn't have said it better.:thumb:
