PTE turbo prices rebounding

Has anybody noticed that the fire-sale pricing on PTE turbos has ended and prices have rebounded back up to where they were a few months ago? At one point a bolt-on 50 trim with internal gate was only 700 bucks at some sites, and my friend got an SCM-6152SP for 680 plus shipping. Now the prices are back up to 800 at pretty much all the sites I'd bookmarked and another 100 on top of that for the internal gate. I'd guess they had some big overstock they had to get rid of but my friend had to wait almost a month for PTE to machine more SP covers, so I'm stumped.

My guess is the past few months are probably slow for turbo sales as alot of cars are down for the winter & people were busy with other priorities. People are now starting to think about spring again & I'm sure the next few months probably see the most sales & they like to cash in when they can. I know my FP3052 will be in the works in the next couple days

Chances are when you see every store fluctuate their pricing, there is a possibility the supplier (garrett) may have had a promotion. They save, we save type of thing.

PTE almost always has an end of the year sale to all their vendors. After the first of the year they went back up.

I thought about it more and I came to the same conclusion- PTE must have done an end-of-year-sale. I'll keep that in mind and wait until December to make any turbo purchases.
