Hey I need some feedback from you guys that have it. Im looking at getting one or, another supra sidemount.

What turbo are you guys running on the IC?

2.3 stroker with a 50 trim on a Dejon 2G Sidemount. Flow at 27 psi is 51 lbs/min and per Dave Johnson the IC will flow as much as a 3.5" piece of straight pipe. While the cooling capacity isn't there, the flow certainly is and it's a direct bolt on piece (unlike the Supra). I'd imagine the Bullseye would be about the same if you could fab up some 2.5" intercooler piping to the throttle body which is something I'll be doing soon.

I'll install methanol injection before I ever consider an FMIC.

Hate to go asking stupid questions but how is that make any kind of sense with 2 1/4 inlet and 2 1/2 outlet. Who cares what the core flows by itself without the endtakes and lets on it.

That is with the entanks on it. As a matter of fact the Dejon SMIC flows only slightly less than their large FMIC. Again it doesn't have the cooling capacity, but it's not a choke point.

Dave's a very intelligent guy. Call him (like I did) and I'm sure he'll be happy to tell you how well it flows as a complete unit.

I just wanted to chime in. I have the ADFX sidemount with 2.5" in/out but im not running a 50 trim like andymoraitis is. Im running a Big T-28 and im with andy on the fmic, Id rather run methanol injection (which is almost set up) than getting a front mount.

Hey thanks for the reply's folks.

Spyder is that the Dejon or Bullseye IC? How do you like it?

I agree with running alky injection. It can't do anything but help. Im looking to run one of these sidemounts with an Evo III 16g. I have a hard time going to a front mount since I can't get rid of my crash beam. It is a street car not a track car and although they are only good for 5mph they are still better then nothing.

Have you guys been to the dyno with the sidemount? What about your knock and timing readings?

Im considering adding a fan behind the IC and pull air through it to help its cooling, since having a large sidemount in a space with small air flow, well isn't the best.

I don't think the cooler has any trouble flowing i just have to wonder how he makes a 2 1/4 inch pipe flow as well as a straight 3.5 inch straight pipe. You have to understand that a 3.5 inch pipe should be able to flow nearly 3+ times the amount that a 2 1/4 inch pipe can, without even taking in account for the turns, acceleration and deceleration's of the air. Sounds like a BS analogy to me, thats all.

Who says you cant run a FMIC with a crash bar. Here is mine. It needed only minor trimming. Just so happen to have the car apart for something else so I figured I would snap a pic. The hole saw trimming is optional:thumb:
