Well guys I have a dilemma. I ordered a GT40R Sept. 5th from slowboyracing along with an SLS divided T4 Twin wastegate manifold. The turbo came in but the manifold is yet to come in. I have called several times and never have gotten an answer on the status of the manifold. I was looking at cancelling the order and ordering a DNP manifold. I have heard that spool up and boost control is better on a divided manifold with twin wastegates on a divided t4 turbo. I was looking at the design on the DNP and it looks as if it is divided nicely but yet uses the same wastegate, just a larger one. I was wondering if you guys think that this manifold would work fine or if I should wait and get the SLS manifold? Another benefit of the SLS vs the DNP was that it has a lifetime warranty versus only a 1 yr. warranty on the DNP, but if it takes this long to get it what good is the warranty? I have posted pics of each also.

Straightline specialties has a nice looking T4 plus lifetime warranty

Straightline = SLS

Give Extreme PSI a call, they might have the SLS in stock. Last time I was in there, they had a T3 flanged one in the display case and they had the SLS stainless o2 housing I needed in stock.

Have fun cancelling that order :sneaky:

I personally would have gone with the SLS primarily because of the warranty, and next because of the twin wastegate design but good luck whatever you decide.

Twin wastegates are over-rated. Only good if you are try to hold some rediculously low boost level. Other then that it take a little longer for those gates to close, so threshold is affected as well.

Besides, both manifold designs will work w/ divided entry, look at how 1&4 and 2&3 are paired.

Besides that, "Warrenties" on a manifold of this caliber is not nessisary. They are in most cases schedule 10, which is 1/8" thick.
People put warrenties on a 16ga manifolds cause they know it will not withstand the heat.

Get whatever manifold is available, since you are in the GT40 realm, Tuning and boost will net you the largest results not design of exhaust flow!

I was hoping some of you guys would step up to T4 land!:dsm:

The order was canceled without a fee because it is not the customer's fault that SLS will not deliver.

Anyone try calling them today? Try it! 701.282.2902 Sounds like its off the hook! I wonder why? This order has been since 9-5-06. OH! and on their AOL IM, it says call us.. HA! I called them yesterday and they couldn't even find the order. What a freakin joke.

SBR WILL NOT sell any more SLS products because they do not seem to care about their customers or ours. They will be taken off of our site this week.

I went to hell and back trying to get my 02 housing or my money back from sls. they suck i honistly hope noone ever buys from them :notgood: :notgood: :notgood:

Slowboy Racing was more than happy to take care of the order. I was very pleased with the customer service that I received today and my shop placed another large order with them. I will continue to do business with SlowboyRacing in the future as I have always gotten taken care of.

I am having the same trouble right now, I am having deja vu from this one time I ordered from SBR OMG

Seriously though, same crap about so-n-so is not here, let me take your number, he's probably in back welding on your manifold right now. Whatever. I'm growing sick of the dsm community, hate giving shops 1000+ dollars and not knowing for sure if your ever going to see a product or if it will be the advertised quality. :beatentodeath: Dead horse I know.........

I am running a GT4088R with a 0.96A/R divided turbine housing on a DNP T4 divided tubular manifold.

Fitment is excellent, as I am able to run without clearance issues of hitting the radiator fan, water pipe, etc. Also, coolant lines were a snap, and the oil drain line did not need to be modified from my previous setup (Mitsu flanged SCM6152S on 2G manifold).

I have had absolutely no problems with boost control, using my Tial 44mm wastegate on my current or past setups. I had rock solid boost control using my ATP manual boost controller in conjunction with these pieces as well. I have had the setup with either a 22psi dual spring configuration or with a 15psi single spring configuration with no problems.

DNP has their manifold in stock, and it is $600 + shipping.

I bet that you were paying more than that for the SLS manifold.

SLS went to PRI so they have got nothing done and now it is the holidays... so more delays. I know of a few people that have been waiting three weeks or more for manifolds from SLS.

They make good stuff.... they are just SO SLOW.

Sorry to hear you guys are having such troubles. Don't forget us as another alternative to your manifold needs, we may not be the cheapest or the fastest solution. But I can gaurantee we have the highest quality and best performing manifolds out there. We are also having a 10% off holiday sale through the 2nd of January. Happy Holidays!

Is this an extra 10% for the dealers who want to stock up as well :)

For all concerned parties, SLS is up and running again (not to say it was down, but things weren't getting done). Talked to Nick last night and this morning and should be on track for getting a product. Will update as situation progresses.

At least he is being taken care of by going DIRECT with SLS. My recommendation if you want SLS products is to go direct or deal with ExtremePSI as they rock.
Oh I just called over to the shop and they answered the phone too. ;)

Well, glad you were taken care of, wish I had that kinda luck with Slowboy. :(

Our purchase order was four months old with SLS, they ignored our calls, took there phone off the hook, and generally do not give a crap about the dealers. So yea, please go direct with SLS.... great idea..... There phone was off the hook all day yesterday, we had to call from a different area code to get them to pick up the phone days before that... all we got were excuses........if SLS has a problem with us telling the truth, I suggest they tell it their way! In any event, we will not deal with them from this day forward.

Just an update, no product thus far.

SLS definately has an issue with their phones but I ordered my manifold a few years back and received it in less tha a week! They also make beautiful manifolds so no complaints from me...I even got the manifold warranted a year later very easily so I am not sure what to say about some of you guys complaints...
