I want to install my fmic kit myself but I need to cut my T28 to downflow in order to do it. I've seen where to cut it based on Dejon's site, however I've never done this before. I have the following questions:

1. What is the best way to cut a turbo? (tool)
2. What dangers do I have to watch out for? (I assume metal fragments in turbo.)
3. Will the 110* elbow blow off the turbo without the beaded lip anymore?

Here's what I need it to look like:

Here's where I marked where I cut:

I'd take the compressor cover off. It should be held on by a snap ring. Pop that off and the cover should come off. I'd go ahead and use a angle grinder with a cutoff wheel on it. Make sure you clean out the cover very good before you reinstall.

rough it up with coarse sandpaper or a file where the clamp goes and then its not as likely to blow off
