Hi there
After doing a leak test i think something went wrong
After fixing a lot of leaks pressurising the system to 15 psi,the only leak left was air escaping from the breather filter on my valve cover.
So after pluggin up the breathe filter and pressurising the system again i could still hear air leaking.
This time it came from the oil dipstick.
i tought maybe a bad pcv valve so after pluggin up the hose that comes from the IM,
air still comes out this time from dipstick and pcv valve.
So i put everything toghether like it was and now i cant get pressure in to the system
only about 7 psi
first i could get a pressure of 15 psi easy, now i cant get to 7 psi and hold

some help please

Can you hear the air leaking as you are pressurizing the system? If you can but cannot tell from where grab you a mechanics stethescope. They are usually used for hearing ticking noise but I removed the mechanism in the middle of it (some ball thing) and added another peice of hose to extend it and moved it around the engine while pressurizing to hear definitely where its coming from, especially those hard to reach spots.

When presurizing the system i can hear air escape from the dipstick and valve cover(breatherhose)
I must say that i performed the test with a cold engine,
i am gonna do another one with a warm engine see if there is a difference
I found some threads about this problem saying that the seals may leak more than with a hot engine.

thanks,:thumb:

A leakdown test and/or compression test will help determine why you are pressurizing your crank case, either its from your valve seals or you piston rings. well, it could be from your headgasket but thats a bit extreme at this point :p

Redo the pressure test with a warm motor, and while your at it grab a compression tester and see whats up.
