Can metal water line against compressor housing cause vibration or noise into the car

My install on my 3065 my metal water line is against the compressor housing and the water pipe and without taking the turbo off again and changing things I can't really get that line off the turbo and water pipe. Is this causing any noise of vibration to be transferred into the car.I do hear some weird noise and vibration at 3500 or so but also just discovered a torn drivers side motor mount.

Sure it can. If it's RPM sensitive, I would also look into any heat shields rattling or any area where you could have metal to metal contact. If it's bad enough that it would resonate through the block, it may even be giving you some of the knock that we've been discussing. While that's not common, it is possible.

I'd replace the mount and then see if you can do something about the water pipe.

Other information that might be helpful is does it happen only when driving or does it happen if you free rev it too?

I have several vibrations and noises in the car so its hard to tell.I get some noise when going wot. I don't hear much under 2000 and don't think get it from free revving the car much.
I also have exhaust resonance happening from no cat and 3 inch downpipe and have ripped up drivers side motor mount just ordered a new one so install it shortly.

But just wondering mostly if the metal line would transmit noise as the turbo spins up to high rpm? Being metal on metal .I will be takiing it off and fixing it but was maybe going to do that when put car away for winter.

That is often an out-of-phase rear balance shaft.

I have no balance shafts and have fluidampr balancer.

I know this is kinda off but have you checked your driveline yet for loose bolts? I remember when I would get some good vibrations fwy speeds(60+) on the fwy because the 4 bolts holding my driveshaft to my rear diff were loose. But those was like HORRIBLE virbrations. How are your motor mounts? I don't think the waterlines to your turbo would cause vibration more just noise.

My drivers side motor mount was ripped up bad.Ordered new stock one and should have it in shortly. That might be my vibration or some of it. Some for sure comes from no cat in 3 inch downpipe. May insert this silencer in that pipe but seem to be getting used to it now. See how things are after the motor mount but will be moving that water line shortly anyway.

Vibrations should NOT come from the no cat and 3" DP unless they're not hooked up to the hangers and they're just let all loose. Other than that it should just be excessive noise if your muffler is a straight through design. Get yourself some polyurethane mounts and feel REAL vibrations ;p hehe it's not that bad but you'll find out you have more loose bolts in your car than you'd ever imagine well @ least I did. But you get used to it after awhile
