Hi guys. I have a question. Has any one delt with the XS Power front mount intercooler kit. I bought this kit from them and I can't figure out how its supposed to bolt on. I e-mailed them and they said that it is a direct bolt on but they don't provide instructions. Does any one have pictures of how it should fit on. Help me cause i'm stuck. Below is the picture of the kit.

What part are you stuck on? Its not a straight bolt in. You will have to do some fabricating. Like remove bumper support ect........... Im about to buy this kit and attempt it myself. Search around there are lots of stuff about this kit on this forum

Thanks for that thread. I couldn't figure out how the piping should go. But now with the pictures I have a much clearer view of how it should go on.

Thanks

Just a quick question how the heck are you a proven member with only 2 posts?

Know someone on the inside. LOL

UMR98GSX thanks for that info. I did't know that either.

Look at the bright side . He has obviously done alot of reading for almost 2 years before posting . ROFL ROFL

The BOV is welded underneath the UICP, its hard to see how its mounted. It comes with a 50mm hole that you need to weld a flange to for what your using. The piping is aluminum so if you are going to use you stock BOV you can make a flange or if you search on ebay a guy makes them for $9 and has free shipping. Makes the 1g flange in SS, aluminum and steel

I don't see where the bov mounts up in those pictures, does the kit come with a flange for a bov?

The piping came with a welded flange on my kit. The flange is for a tial 50mm style bov. I have the tial 50mm on mine. Hope that helps. Check out the pictures.

has anyone got this kit recently? i been trying to find it on ebay but it seems like they are not selling them anymore.

Because of TiAL... They kept saying 'TiAL STYLE' and the violations piled up. THey are not banned, only suspended. Do you think eBay would bann someone that creates as many fees as SSAC does?

hey guys anyone with this kit can help me.... what are these pipes made out of??? i asked around and some people say mild steel and some say alluminum?? a magnet doesnt stick to them so i thought they were aluminum but looking at the pipes interior they dont look alluminum.. what type of flange did you guys weld on ??

This same intercooler and piping kit was installed on a 1993 Talon TSi AWD I recently purchased. I ditched the whole setup in favor of a Punishment FMIC kit for (2) reasons:

- The ridiculous routing of the piping.
- The knockoff Tial BOV cannot be recirculated.

By the way....the piping is not mild steel nor aluminum- it's stainless steel. CHEAP stainless steel.

I just bought one of the kits for the 1g. I paid $ 199 plus about 20 for shipping via fedex. It took about 3 days to arrive. After unpacking everything, I noticed a few things right away.

#1 The intercooler is huge
#2 The piping is very well made with excellent welds. (Not a single elbow coupler is used)
#3 I can't believe the entire kit is polished
#4 The clamps are very well made
#5 The couplers are blue, but I don't think they are silicone, not sure yet
#6 There were no instructions of any kind
#7 The ad said it was supposed to come with a "50mm BOV included" (I emailed them to see if it was indeed missing"
#8 For 199 I am definitely impressed, note the 2G kit is a lot more.

here is the link to their webpage if anyone wants to order one:

I am not saying that this kit is better or worse than other kits out there. I don't have that right to do so. Neither does anyone else who has not personally experienced the difference. I am satisfied with what I got, and that left me with about 500 bucks left to fix it or buy more stuff.
