yes, your intake is somehow blocking air from getting in. I had the same problem one time with an intake I had on and the air filter was'nt very good.

if your intake isnt sealed up all the way it wont build full boost, I was just fighting this I was like wtf I could only get like 3-5 psi. Well when I took the intake off I didnt notice but the clamp wasnt over the bottom and it was leaking bad, thats what I get for rushing before work LOL. But I would check that and make sure you have every thing tight and secure.

The intake pipe doesn't need to be sealed for the turbo to build boost, he's ruuning blow through which means he can basically run without an intake pipe though the 90* bend probably doesn't help.

If the system was working perfectly prior to the FMIC install, either the actuator arm is no longer attached to the flapper or you have serious boost leaks.

i pull the intake off the car and make full boost at 20psi. im gonna go make a better flowing one today and see whats happens. i ran a boost leak check because i thought thats what it was befor and it wasnt so.

I forgot you had blow through, I dont and when my car isnt sealed it runs like ass, like it has a big vac leak and it will not make over 5psi. The day after I sealed it bam 14psi like always.
Your car was running like ass because you were sucking in unmetered air (bypassing the maf), not because you were losing pressure like you seem to suggest. (Intake pipe isn't a part of your pressurized intake tract, pressurized intake tract starts after the turbo.

old man please re read my post I didnt post that I was loosing pressure, the car was for sure just running way rich and loading up. I told him to check that cause that what happened to me, I do how ever know that the intake isnt part of the pressureized intake tract. But I also do know on a stock car if you are sucking inunmetered air the turbo will have a hard time boosting.

My bad I mis-undertood you. However, you will not be running rich, you were probably running lean causing knock and timing pulled, which then translated into little to no boost.
