PICS OF MY TURBO..what brand turbo is this and do i need a new turbine wheel?

i recently traded a pair of cams for this 18g turbo.....what brand is it? also the fins arnt all perfect, but there is no shaft play....should i get a new turbine wheel and have the whole thing rebuilt?

TD05 on the housing says its a mitsubishi turbo, hard to see comp wheel damage!

It looks like it says 18g right on the compressor housing.

Ya looks like a Mitsu comp cover. As for the damage, doen't look bad at all in the pic. If there isn't any shaft play might as well run it like that. You can get it rebuilt if you don't mind spending the money, but should be fine to run the way it is.

Might as well run it. If the blades are messed up you can always get a new wheel from FP.

Those are turbine wheels, think he's talking about compressor wheels but I'm sure he gets the idea. If you do choose the rebuild route make sure its properly balanced after the rebuild, otherwise you'll be looking for another rebuild in the near future.

yeah i knew it was a 18g...i was just curious what kind it was....for some reason i thought if it was a mitsu, it would be written on it...thanks every one...i cant wait to put this in...

Its a mitsu turbo. Looks like either a 14b or 16g that was worked by FP to an 18g. But deffinetly a mitsu turbo.

what do you mean when you say "worked by fp"?

They take your 14b/16g and put a 18g compressor wheel in it. They machine your compressor housing too.
