Just wondering if anyone knows where to get one? I called ATP and the said a week to two weeks. But they are also only $1995 there. If anyone can match this I will buy from them. Thanks In advance.
 
Thanks for the find. I really need that one in ball bearing though. It will spool slow enough being ball bearing being that big. But thanks for the heads up.
 
pte makes this turbo? mitsu housing? the turbine wheel is probably too big for the 8cm^2 or whatever the biggest mitsu housing is anyways.

Just to make sure there is no confusion, just because the BB is not on the site, doesn't mean we don't sell it or have it in stock. I have several and they retail for $1949 with a T4 housing.

You'd have to be mentally retarded to put a GT42 in a mitsu housing.
 
Sorry for missing that, but yea, that turbo has out grown the mitsu mani/and exhaust housing.

As of now FP is trying to get ahold of garrett to see if they will drop ship me one, can't get any reply from full race, and no answer at AMS but i will try back. Precision has them but want 2500 and I didnt even both seeing if they would price match this down $550.

So it looks its going to be between FP and ATP. Just sucks I finally get the $ and no one has one.:sosad:
 
just checking, I tend to find that pte stuffs everything they sell into the mitsu housing as well, so i asked if they were crazy enough to try this as well.

fp, would your custom turbine housing fit over this? whats the largest turbine wheel you guys use of the fp 3052/3065/3565/3575
 
The Mitsu flange is completelyand utterly unable to keep up with the airflow requirements of the GT42. You might as well just buy a smaller turbo because instead of tapping on the limit you'll be grabbing its hair and slamming it into a wall at 100mph.
 
I still havent heard back from any one.:sosad: FP said they would call back if they located me one or not and I have not heard from them, nore has a few other places e-mailed me back. Guess no one wants my money.
 
Why don't you just give FP or PTE a call directly. You could try a little harder. If you want it go get it.

I called PTE and they want $2500, thats out of my price range. FP has my name and # but has not called back, I just figured my bussiness isnt important, or they dont have it. I think I have found one and 2 people have contacted me about it. I have tried everywhere and no one has this turbo. I figured the 2 places that contacted me back values my business enough to contact me back, I will go that route with my bussiness.
 
I sure hope your vehicle prfile isn't up to date if you plan on running a turbo that size.

The 30 series fp turbos run gt30 turbine wheels, the 35 series runs gt35 turbine wheels.

Sorry It has been a while since update. I have a bad migrain but will try to get ALL of it in. But I did update the big stuff.
 
PTE gave us a price of $1860 for the GT42R. FP gave us a price of $1856 for the 96lb/min 1.01a/r turbo. They were both within $10 on all the different options we had. We ended up going with FP because of the speedy service they have. PTE has been good to us, but the customer service of FP is awesome. Plus they have just gotten everything right for us the first time in the past.

I hope you either have a shot of nitrous or that big kahuna is going to spool like poo on a 2.0L motor.
 
I have found alot of the 4294's just no one has the 4202. As far as nitrous goes, It will have a small shot for the street. At the track I will launch from a 2step. Its no longer will be much of a street car, but will go out on saturday night thats about it. I hope to get full boost out of it by 5800-6000 rpms. But this seems far out untill I can even get the turbo.
