Do I have enough for 350whp??

OK I just bought a brand new evo III 16g off turbochargers.com, no not the tawain version, the MHI unit.

Here are my following mods that apply to my car:
hacked 1g maf, 550cc injectors, Walbro 255lph fuel pump, Apexi SAFC, 3" turboback with vibrant 3" stock looking muffler, MBC, greddy turbo timer, tripple gauge pod with air/fuel, boost, and oil pressure,Exedy stock clutch, 1g BOV, ES inserts, ported big16g, Palm pilot m100 datalogger, FMIC w/ 2.5inch piping, FTS AFPR, Evo III 16g ported w/34mm, stainless braided oil supply, arp headtsuds, ffwd connection dks 272 cams

Well heres the deal I would like to hit 330whp on piss 91 octane gas daily thats been my goal I know its possible ive seen it done many times with the 16g im a big believer in it, I actually know a guy that dyno`s 420awhp on a evo with stock cams no nitrous on 91 octane. I was just wondering if any of the successful evoIII 16g guys have any tips they would liek to share, my goal is to tune for 20-22 lbs daily which would probably get me close to that mark. I know I will have mixed opinions on wether my injectors can handle that much but im confident they will be fine at that but no higher. Well let me know what you guys have to say.

Also I do plan on porting the 2g exhaust manifold that I am going to get the o2 housing as well as the turbo including the 34mm flapper I orderd.

that 1g maf is hurting you. pick up an evo8 maf (outflows 1g by 67% at same karman reading). The injectors are holding you back too. i can max 680 injectors w/ my 14b @ 20psi and 93/94 octane. I knock a little even with that though.

Just those mods and some aggressive tuning could net you 400whp on race gas. Realistically, 300whp is a good goal for you with you mods and 91 octane and that little boost.

No I'm not an evo3 turb user, however I have 3 friends w/ evo3 or b16g turbs, and I've witnessed their struggles - street, strip and dyno.

i cant agree that would need 680s, guess depends on your altitude, but i put down 340whp on b16g with stock intercooler with plenty of fuel to play with still all u need is fuel pressure regulator if you dont already have one.
Also the mas is killing you. my buddy switched his to my old 2g mas and it really woke his car up. I would suggest if you want cheap do that or if you have the cash go with the maf translator setup. another thing thats fairly cheap that would help alot is if you using that stock 1g o2 housing is to get tubular o2, u can find them for around 100-150 stainless steel. i switched to a 3 inch with o2 external dump from my ported 2g o2 which already flows much better than stock 1g and it made a big difference
 
Everyone here has a good idea on getting rid of that stock 1g maf. I personally would recommend the GM Maf setup just for that tuning capabilities. You can get basic settings and work off them rather then work from the stock computer settings. It makes thing alot better. Also I think you will be fine injector wise. My friend just hit 340 horse with his 550 and he doesnt have as many supporting mods as you.
 
The larger your injectors are the lower the d/c will be, and thus the more timing your car will run under normal circumstances - ie. no knock (every setup is different). I have a very high/free flowing setup, therefore my motor has no problem maxing my 680's. I tune so I don't knoc7 and run as lean as possible.

Those of you who know of putting down 340whp was that front wheel?

97boost - what octane, injectors, and boost level when you dynoed your b16g? Have you dynoed the 3065 yet?
 
I planned on up grading to pte 680`s eventually in the next few months, but any higher than that ill need something else to tune with, I have 2g maf sitting in my garage with the harness I just have been to lazt to put it on even though I made a harness for it already. Also I do have plans to pick up an external dump o2 housing, my friend had one on his gsx and he never had boost creep problems, he had the ss autochrome one too.
 
Agreed...I think your fine right now...330whp, eh, depends how good of a tuner you are...

If you have a good timing curve, with no knock and a 11.5 a/f and 21psi of boost, you are definitely up there in the range for big numbers...Those cams will do tons for you

Hopefully that 1g maf wont cause you to fuel cut, but your safc tuning should delay that since the ecu thinks its seeing less airflow...

Yes, I think a stock 1g manifold and 02 will restirct you, but a simple 2g upgrade for both should help you pick up some airflow

How are you maxing 680cc injectors on a 14b? LOL thats funny.

Ya I was going to say the same thing, I used to run 19psi on stock injectors and they were only pushing 90%... all about the tuning.
As for the original poster a 2gmaf, 2g ported manifold, and o2 housing will be very beneficial to get you to your goals.
 
i honestly don't see you hitting 350whp without cams. u can look at my setup (very similar) except i have 2g equipment and some fp1/fp2 cams...with 21 or 22 psi i am hoping for 350whp so hopefully by mar 15 i can tell you whether its possible(thats when im dynoing).
 
i personally max out my 450cc injectors on my 14b at 20 psi. very little knock, good timing. I am at 500 feet above sea level. I could drive down to the sea if any of you guys care to get that accurate.

Why dont people just read my post`s I have ffwd 272`s and also I already have a really nice 2g manifold inline for 45 from my friend, and I am going to port that out as well. Thanks for all the input though you guys I really appreciate it.

it's pretty cold outside, and it's a daily driver. I can't tune the thing on pump gas w/o knocking unless I put fuel in there. Not alot either. Either 0 or 1 on the high fuel knob. My motor flows decent considering, and w/ the new 7cm housing (wastegate area not hoged out and stock flapper for a reason) and portwork I can only manage >18psi.

The gm maft is alright, as I'm leaning towards link this time around...
