Yea so i went to start my car up today, it hasnt been started in about 2-3 days now since im waiting on my clutch, i go to start it up, and there seems to be some smoke blowin out of the turbo on heavy acceleration, i can take a video of this tomorow on my camera, its a small 16G turbo, im not sure if its on its way or what?, maybe its time for me to upgrade anyways? idk, what do u guys think of doing a big 16g, or any other turbo a bit larger then the small 16g, i have enough mods to withstand a b16g, just curious if there is anything different i have to do when upgrading to a bigger turbo like the big 16, any differernt fittings or what?, or should i just stick with the small 16g, idk, im gonna let the car warm up and stuff tomorow and see what happens, maybe some oil leaked down from the vavle cover and its burining it off, idk.. anyone wanna point me in a good direction on what to look for? and check for?

If turbo smokes from the outside, not through exhaust, then it's oil being spilled onto hot parts of the turbo. re-check oil fittings and you're right, leaking valve cover tends to drop oil onto exhs. manifold and turbo, which will smoke once it gets hot.

On the upgrade subject, evo3 big 16G sounds like a properly-sized upgrade for you. It's a direct bolt-on, no special fittings required.

hehehe, im not worried if my turbo goes, ive been lookin to upgrade to a big 16g anyways, so maybe this bad boy will go, hehe

Problem is, if you don't find out what's causing this turbo to smoke, you'll most likely suffer the same fate on your new big 16g.

well if my turbo seems to be ok, ill find the problem from where the oil is hittin the turbo or if its even comming from the turbo, it could be commin from underneath it.., im not sure yet, i gotta dig deeper after i do my clutch.
