not reading maf???

hi dsm people this is my friends 1995 gst it idles at 200 like if the maf wasn't connected we tried 4 mafs and 2 ecu we replaced O2 sensor spark plugs and wires it just makes no difference it is running super rich when you hit the gas pedal it goes up to 2000 and then takes about 10 sec to go up to 3200 after that it runs just fine (once you build some boost)
the car has big 16 with a tial 48mm we need help he needs the car back on the road and i need my car back (he is using it to go to work and god knows he is a dumb ass on the road ......but a good friend )

Did you check ALL of the intercooler piping and couplers. It sounds like one of your couplers have a hole in it, Or an intercooler pipe is disconnected. I had a slight slit in my ic coupler, It ran fine until I hit full boost, Only once in awhile.. Then it got worse and did what you are describing.
 
intercooler and piping are fine i'll double check just in case ...but i think that if that was the situation it would idle fine at least right?
 
The car would idle fine if the whole was not expanded open during idle. if it were only expanding open under boost, That is when it would cause problems. If you d/c an ic pipe at idle, your car will stall though, Which i'm sure you know. Same way if the leak is bad enough.
 
We need more info

Is it stock?

does it have upgraded fuel injectors?
does it have a fpr?
what is the timing set at?
what is the cam timing set at?
what is the vac at idle?
does it smoke at all?
does it make any abnormal noises?
have you done aTRUE boost leak test, not just looking at it?
