No they are not. The stock 14B is 6 cm2. I believe the greddy 18g is 7 cm2. Go here for a/r. I recommend the 7 cm2 if you're going to put this on your 2.4 L. You can put the 18g compressor, centerhousing, and even the turbine wheel on the 14B turbine housing but it will flow less and give you more spool up ( ).

ok cool cuz i had the greddy with the t3 housing but i have a mitsu style manifold so i took the t3 housing off and replaced it with the stock 14b turbine housing it fit perfect. the stock 14b turbine housing opening is a lil small so im thinking about porting it and the manifold. good idea or bad?

Do you plan on caming (intake manifold upgrade too) this motor? If so, you should go with a 8 cm2 port if you can have it done. I don't know how much a stock 14b housing can be hogged out. If not, I'd go with a 7 cm2 port. I'm sure this can be donw and I believe this is better than simply "clipping" your turbine wheel. I really feel it is better to have all the blade you can get plus all the flow you can get.

yes im waiting on my outlander manifold it has a 60mm TB my get it opened up to 62mm or so by proflow. and a cam too but that is down the road since only one company makes one for my engine

well, IMHO, you'll need a big housing. 8 cm2 would make me feel good. I really don't know if your 14b housing can be ported to that. I thought that they were crack proned to begin with. That would mean not enough material for a huge hog-out. You plan on having it done by a "turbo shop", right? ask them if can be done. If not, I'd port it to 7 cm2 and cruise around with that until you get your cam. When you decide to get the cam, look for an actual 7 cm2 turbine housing (i.e. blown small, big, evo3 16g; 18g; 20g) and port that to 8 cm2 or find a 8 cm2 and be done with it.

...You should be happy with that 18G. I am it doesn't spool like the 14b but there is like no difference between my small 16g and my new 18g with the 7 cm2 housing. There is no real compressor map out there for the 18g that I have found but it surely pulls hard in the midrange and seams to be endless up top. I'm sure i will ned cams and intake mani to reach the full potential of this b!tch on my 2.0L. The spool of an evo3 and the flow of a 20g .
