Well I got my new boost gauge in. The old one was def. broken, this one 0's out fine at WOT, now I suppose I have a boost leak, I got a whopping 1 that's right ONE PSI haha..Any tips or anything?

Ive broke two boost gauges right in the back where the nylon hose goes in, my one recomendation...JB weld LOL It does wonders, just slab that all around the house where it goes into the brass fitting.

It is the boost vaccum gauge(autometer). At Idle I read about 15 Vac. when I floor it, and turn the car off the gauge 0's out. I'm about to take the hose going to the wastegate actuator off, and cap the elbow out of the turbo and see if that lets me boost. If not, the i'll do a boost leak test.

Are you teeing your gauge in there? I thought the best place was to tee it of one of the hoses (forget which) by the firewall. Maybe all that extra line doesn't help?

The hose you are prob. talking about is the FPR hose, which I already have Teed for my FMU...That being said, I tapped the EGR, off of the manifold, because I heard it was best to tap directly off of the manifold. Thanks though :thumb:

I just unhooked the line from the compressor housing to the wastegate, and capped off the elbow coming off the turbo, and still no boost. So I guess it's def. that it is a leak since the actuator is working(holding shut) right? I will hopefully do the leak test tomorrow.

i would tap the boost gauge from the pressure line off the fpr, thats where iv always read to do it from, and i believe i read a while ago that just tapping it from the intake mani will give odd readings.

does the car feel like its only pushing 1psi???
 
The prob. is, and has been fixed :thumb: the actuator assembly was loose. I stated before, a couple of times I believe. That I already tapped the FPR line for the FMU, and I didn't wanna tap the same line twice.

I wouldn't want to tap into the same line twice either. The only question I have is, is there any problems tapping into the same line twice?? Just curious.
 
yeah man, there's plenty of lines to tap that you wouldn't need to splice the same one twice.
