Custom Turbo Kit for 420A Build Up

OK first off this should be split up into a couple of different areas among the forum. OK I am thinking about building a Turbo 420A from the ground up. I am not going to go with a pre fab turbo kit like star or any others. I am going to build a custom turbo kit for this motor. Anyone have any Ideas? I already have a few but I want to hear some of your guy's input with out my ideas hindering yours. This is just in the Idea faze, I do not know what the specifics of the motor will be yet. I know that kinda makes it hard to put ideas out there. But just try, Any ways shoot away I want to see some awesome ideas guys

OK obviously you are stupider than you sound or did not under stand my post. I am not talking about 206whp I am talking about a complete motor rebuild. For ####s sake, I am talking Custom Tubular Turbo Manifold with certain angles of bend to maximize exhaust flow, and custom turbo's...AKA different exhaust and turbine housings. #### I have read that already do you think I have a budget on shit? #### no.....Not do dis his right up, it was awesome and the best one yet...but I don't have a ####ing budget. #### I hate that "you should search 1st!" shit

Well in all honesty you should search first. First many people have custom turbo kits on their 420a cars and would probably be happy to help you. Second this shouldn't be posted all over the forum it should be in the NT to turbo conversion forum and there only as that is the designated place to put a thread about turboing your 420A. If you want info on this type of thing thats where to look.
Now for some actual advice so I'm not just flaming you. (though now you'll probably not want to hear it anyways) turboing the 420A is not as hard as many might think. If you don't want to pay the bucks to have HAHN or Star do the work for you there are some options out there. Find someone who has a custom turbo kit on the 420A section and pm them about how they did it. For the engine your going to want some good internals. I suggest Crower forged rods and JE 8.8:1 pistons. Some cams are always a good idea and I think its Comp that makes some for the 420A (don't quote me on it though I can't remember exactly) a turboback 3" exhaust, larger injectors (depends on how big of a turbo and how much boost you're planning on running) tuning equipment (AFC, datalogger, gauges, etc...)

If you look at my parts list I already have a turbo 420A, I am sick of a name brand kit. I am trying to get ideas for something new. A kit that would put some awesome horsepower down. Ill just put my kit togeather and post some pics on prices and the build up

I'm sorry that I didn't look at your mod list. However, this still isn't the proper forum. The guys over at 2GNT.com would probably have alot of good advice for custom building kits though. Also you could try dsmtalk.com. I understand you don't want to buy a prebuilt kit and it would be great if you could post on your experiences with custom building your own.

dont get your panties in a twist....hes only speaking the truth. nothing will be spoonfed to you on this sight. numerous memebers have custom turbo kits on this site and have posted all of their parts, including myself. stop being lazy and do a search. My build up cost a lil over 4 grand, no labor costs, and the welding was done free by a professional.
