I have just installed my AvC-R controller and i noticed i had a vacum leak. i did not have this b4 instillation and everything is tight and hooked up. i followed the destructions to the best of my understanding but i realized i did the tabu racing vacum diagram. i was wondering if someone could help me out and show me the way to hook it up using what taburacing showed me. or someone could tell me or show me exactly how they did it on there 1g.
thanks :thumb: :dsm:

Following of destructions? That's was probably your problem right there LOL

Let us know how that works out for you. I went with the Greddy Type S EBC

I hope you like the AVC-R. I personally don't like the unit due to all its learning it has to do to be a good EBC. On the dyno on a turbo Celica GT w/AVC-R all learned at 6 PSI the boost was constant and the dyno graph looked fairly smooth. When we upped it to 8 PSI the dyno graph was all over the place as the controler was opening and closing causeing some very strange boost fluctuations. I went with the Profec-B.

truwarrior how is the Type S working for you? Is boost constant and steading all the time with it? The Spec 2 has some problems with kepting a steading boost setting. I've been thinking of selling it off and getting a Spec S or the EVC.

I love it. Sometimes the boost gauge will jump up and down an 1 psi but I can usually tune it out with the gain setting. Thing is I keep changing my boost setting and some times you have to reset the gain.

Overall it's pretty damn good for what it does. It's controlling an EVOIII turbo. I love being able to switch between high and low. Next I think I'm gonna hook the high low switch into the cruise control button. That way I can control it on my steering column. Someone mentioned doing this before.

yeah ive had it running for about 3weeks and i love it!!!! i spool alot faster and is a hellaof alot faster!! the only thing is i still havent done the conversion from mm/hg2 to lbs/s2. i havent hit stock boost yet.
what settings are you gues using??? boost% and duty%. :thumb:

Yea, you can make spoolin time decrease quite a bit. I think I use a .05:2 ratio when setting boost/duty. That means for every incriment of boost (.05bar), I go up 2 duty cycles. Then when you scroll over to your bar graph on the next screen, the boost and duty cycles will be equal.
I've ran anywhere from about 5psi all the up to 22psi.

when actually setting the avc-r... how come i cant find 5sp and which way should the arrow be???? up or down. plus im still scetchy on the sensor type. what shoudl i be setting it at?

i found out the problem everythign is working great..
