Whoever put the 16g on my car before I bought it put the turbine housing clamp on facing the block and you can't get the clamp off so I want to cut it and get a new one. Can anyone help me out?

anyplace cheaper, that one's $25.

I don't think anyone else sells it. How much are you willing to spend? Try your luck in the classifieds or ebay. Otherwise just go ahead and remove the turbo. Just out of curiousity, what is it that you need to do to the turbo that you don't want to remove the whole thing?

He probly just doesn't want to drop the exhaust downpipe and the manifold to turbo bolts. I know I would just spend the extra half hour and do it right, and save me the $25

I'm just curious as to what kind of work he needs to do to the turbo that he only needs to take out the center section along with the compressor. Not bashing or anything, just curiosity.

I'm doing a rebuild and it's a lot easier for me to cut that clamp and buy a new one then take it all apart because I live in a small apartment building and all i have is a small assigned parking space to work in. I'm trying to create the least amount of work possible with the least amount of parts removed.

this is what i see:

Did you look under the car to see it the nut is pointing up or down? If it is pointing down, all you need is an extension and swivle to go with your ratchet and 10mm socket. Im sure that would be cheaper, quicker, and easier than buying a new band clamp. If that isnt possible, pm me. I just found this in my box of spare parts. I dont have the nut or bolt but that can be robbed from you old band if it has to be cut.
