toronto,
OK we the dsm community have a few turbos that are stock appearing (mitsu carts) the bastard 20g and the fp sleeper 16g and a bunch of 18g turbos.
I think that if either of these turbos where to be used say in conjunction with a stroker motor that a nice overall combination could be had.
But then I started to ponder and imagine. The only reason you would use either of these turbos on any engine let alone a stroker would be to have a sleeper look, if you didn't care about the sleeper look then you could just as easily go with a 50 trim or a 60-1.
I started to think to myself the only down fall with some of these "sleeper turbos" was their spool up characteristics. So I got an idea to stuff the fastest spooling cartridge with a very respectable wheel size in to a customized evo3 cartridge.
Unfortunately do to my new career as a fighter and the expenses I have had to endure, I have had to postpone the extruded honing of my evo 3 turbine/compressor housings.
But I look at this as an opportunity to create something that hasn't been (at least to my knowledge) created be-for.
We basically take the evo 6.5 rs turbo and swap covers with the extruded honed evo3 16g housings.
It can be done because the 6.5 uses td05hra wheels. With a lighter and faster rotating Assembly coupled with some really smooth housings this turbo could be an ultimate sleeper.
Now fp sells the evo 6.5rs turbo for $1,249.00, hopefully I could find a better deal somewhere else but this is something I wouldn't mind getting my hands around.
I'll talk to some of my more tech savvy friends about it tomorrow and make a few calls.
I'll keep you guys posted if anything does transpier in the next few months , but I just wanted some constructive thoughts when speaking about this type of mitsu hybrid.
The only thing discouraging me is the bloody price tag.

Wouldn't work at all.
More flow = better.
