What is the long u-shaped (kinda looks like a big hairpin) bar/pipe that runs horizontally in front of the radiator on my 96 talon. I haven't taken a close look at it, but it seems like it is a functional part of the radiator and cannot be removed. Does a fmic just sit in front of it? Will the fmic sit close enough that it dents in my fins?

I'd like to have this planned out before I start ripping the car apart.

It is use to cool your power street fluid. I just got rid of it and made a U right at the reservoir.

yup he got it... I just moved it around a little bit so my IC wouldn't hit it. it's pretty pliable so you can bend it easily, just make sure you dont put kinks in it.

So is it between your fmic and radiator, or did you bend it completely out of the way?

Thanks for the info, guys. It's weird that this is left out of most of the fmic vfaqs and tech articles, considering that it is a formidable obstacle to mounting the intercooler. All the tech guides just say, test fit and mount the intercooler LOL. I'm hoping that I can mount my intercooler such that there is a a quarter of an inch between the core and that pipe, but we'll see if there will be enough room.
