Well after many hours of work, the evo III gt is finally on, along with my 650cc injectors. Here is my problem....

we took it out for a test run after the install to see what would happen. It idles fine and drives fine until you get on it. I tried a 3rd gear pull and all the sudden...BLAM!!! 30 PSI and a nasty "boom" noise. hmmm, let the car calm down and its still driving ok so i must not have broke anything. We turn the boost down some more and get on it again, this time i dont let it go past 25 psi because i know whats going to happen so we turn it all the way down and it still tries to peg my boost gauge (we set the boost 5 different times including all the way up, all the way down, and a few various settings inbetween)

The S-AFC-II is going on as soon as i wake up so we can get some much needed tuning in.

Anyway, who has ideas on why my boost wont stay at a nice number like 10 or 15 psi?
It flies all the way up every time i get on it. I was able to get it to hit 15 or 20 psi after givign it 1/4 petal for a few seconds, so im sure the turbo works fine, it just does not like my boost control.

please help cause i just spent alot of money and i want to go fast.

thanks

Get rid of the boost controller. Just hook the vacuum line from the intake mani right up to the wastegate actuator and see what happens.

exactly.. You should have ran the turbo for a while first without it anyways

ok i figured out what was wrong, i had the wrong line hooked up to my wastegate.

Here is a followup question:

my t-25 had 2 places to plug hoses in. one was at the wastegate and the other was at the compressor housing(which was the hose i plugged into my wastegate). My GT only has a spot at the wastegate...so what do i do with the other hose that plugged into the compressor housing on my t-25?

Put a T on the intake manifold to BOV line and connect that directly to the actuator nipple, this is now your new pressure source replacing the old pressure source off the compressor housing on the T25.

i dont know how your exact setup is but alot of the j pipes out there now tend to have a nipple on them to replace the one on the t25 compressor housing so you could use that one if you want instead of cutting the intake mani - bov line. If you dont have that then the way oldman said is pretty much your only other option.
