Inter Overkill ?

OK let me start off with explaining my situation. I have a lightly modded 1997 GST (mods in profile). In one year when I graduate from school I wish to take some spare money my dad got for me toward a 2Gb GSX. Til then I want to keep adding parts to my car that eventually I can transfer to the GSX. Right now I'm thinking of DSMlink (to control the richness I have been having) and a FMIC. I have looked into many and decided I want a blow-thru 3" GM MAF. I want this because on the GSX I want to run a 60-1 turbine. Hopefully the spool-up will be streetable with the blow-thru. I have been looking at the SBR 2g FMIC. They can set it up for blow-thru and all. Is all that intercooler necessary? I want a big nice looking IC but don't want to hack my bumper to shizit to get the max area. You get where I'm coming from?
