I took apart this turbo that i was about it put on my car just to check everything out, and look what i found!! looks like the turbine wheel got chewed up by something... The shaft play on it is decent, the compressor wheel is in good shape. How not good of an idea would it be to run this turbo. BTW, its a TRE godzilla 16g. Wodner if its worth fixing... I appoligize for the crappy pictures, i can take good ones later today when my parents get home with my good camera.

there is no real danger in using it, but the turbos power output will suffer. Does every thing spin fine? if something hit it and chewed it up i wonder if the turbo would need to be rebalanced?

yeah it spins good. I figured that the spool up will be alot worse then it already was supposed to be with the wheel like that. Im just having trouble justiying putting a messed up turbo on. I really dont like to take chances with my car. Heck, just driving it everyday as is, is big enough of a chance.

i recommend not doing that, if you bolt it on you could run a chance of scoring the housing around it then it turbo rebuil time. sucks, dont do it.
