Yes, it's time for another episode of that wonderful game show, Name That Turbo! With fabulous prizes like win-nothing-and-like-it!
Goofiness aside, just picked up a used turbo. Big16G Evo III. Zero shaft play, inducer and exducer show no signs of damage, spins relatively freely. The problem that I realized after having bought it was that I never got a straight answer from the former owner; is it a 6cm^2, or a 7cm^2 exhaust housing?
At this point I mostly need to know if I'm going to have to shell out for an EVO3 manifold and O2 housing from RRE, along with all the gaskets, or if I can do a direct bolt-on with my existing 1ga manifold and housing. The intake housing is a standard TD05H, so is less likely to be a cheap Chinese knockoff EVO III GT.. pictures below. Are there any identifying marks without pulling the unit open and measuring? Serial numbers? Something?
