Injector size,..... The RIGHT one?

Okay,
It I have been told from day one that the 1G TURBO cars with MANUAL trannies came with "450" injectors.
The 1G TURBO cars with AUTOMATIC trannies came with "390" injectors.
Now, if this is true, can anyone tell me why three (3) different Dealership service departments show that the Autos came with 450's and the manuals came with 390's? I also checked this on AllData and got the same answer. I then consulted my Mitsubishi shop manual and got the same answer. So, I called work (autozone) had them look up the parts numbers for each and then did a GP Serenson cross reference check.... (GP being the maker of the injectors) and, well... got the same answer yet again.
I'm sorry, but this is really looking like a reality.
Why would the manual trannies have smaller injectors than the autos???? :confused:
Anyway, this all came about from me trying to findout which injectors are in my car. It is a factory 1G automatic with the NON turbo 4G63. I figured 390's. But I just swaped in a 1G TURBO maf because mine was shoot and giving no readings at all. But now, with the TURBO maf, whitch is un hacked in any way, i'm running rich as can be!!! :confused:
This being said, I'm wondering if the non turbo auto's had the 450's as well. The maf came from a turbo manual, so if I have 390's, there is no way in hell that I should be running rich!!
Any ideas???

From the 1G Factory Service Manual:

Non-Turbo 1.8L - N210H Injectors (210cc High Impedance)
Non-Turbo 4G63 - N240H Injectors (240cc High Impedance)
Turbo 4G63 A/T - B390L Injectors (390cc Low Impedance)
Turbo 4G63 M/T - B450L Injectors (450cc Low Impedance)

That's the bottom line, I don't know what you were doing to get so much misinformation.

I have that same service manual.
It is the only one of over 5 sources that lists it that way.

Here's your answer right here:

Your sources suck. That's all there is to it. Most dealerships can't tell you shit about a DSM because the parts department has hardly any knowledge. And your other source, well it's AutoZone. I don't think I need to go into details with that.

Now you have another source, I've seen the injectors, so have the people in this board. Anyone with half a clue can read the number stamped on the side of them and confirm that they match the FSM.

BTW Denso made the injectors.

Damn, for such smart-asses.... no one seems to read too well.
I didn't say that GP made the OEM injectors dumb-ass. I said that they made the ones at work.
Infact, never mind. I can see that me and my DSMs are in the wrong place.
If any of you dumb-asses had read, maybe you would have thought that maybe, just maybe, the injectors in this car are not the originals... therefore, they may not have the markings on the side.

And as for the "dumbest ass of them all" with the ""well its autozone"" comment...

I'm sure that you have run to one many times to get parts! Not to mention the fact that "WE" have the best warranty in the industry.
If it wasn't for Autozone, way back in the early 80's, (which was then known as "Autoshack", you wouldn't have half of the parts that are now available to you in ANY store other than a dealer. you dumb ass!

You must be one hell of a manager at autozone.. Let's go through your comments.

- "#### yourself with your crappy DSM fart can" I have a 2.5" turboback exhaust with a 2.5" tip. So, explain fart-can to me.

- "When was I last in one" The last time I was in there was to get a new alternator because somehow I dumped a jug of power steering fluid on my alternator and it shorted out.

- "If it wasn't for autozone..." If it wasn't for autozone, we would have less cars with neons and seat covers. I'm pretty sure I can find any part I need online, I don't need AutoZone to help me.

- As far as your warranty goes.. yeah I love it. I loved getting new batteries and alternators all the time just before my warranty expired. You guys sure saved me some money.

Auto Zone sucks. If it didn't, there wouldn't be threads about it in the Hangout.
 
Then take your DSM somewhere else. We don't want someone who doesn't listen and flames just because the facts have been stated.

Ya so what if your injectors are the originals that's not what you asked.
