intercooler advice

ok well at the moment i have a kind of crappy small front mount that i want to improve upon while still keeping my wallet intact i've seen in alot of diffrent classified's that a starion intercooler is one of the ic's of choice of some dsm'rs, and i found an ok one near me, it's probably about two and a half times what mine is.. but it has a sizeable dent in it, and he's tryin to get $50 out of it, i dont wanna lowball or be a jerk but i was plannin on $20 max.. what do you guy's think? picture's to follow

also wanted to know if you guy's think i'd be able to hook it up pretty easily... measurements are 8.5"x22"x3" (HxLxW) The length is end tank to end tank.

I wouldn't offer him any money on it.
Because you don't know if the FMIC has a hole or crack in it, which would cause you boost leak and some other negative effects.

Isuzu NPR truck intercoolers are nice for the cost, and are eBay a lot.

use a compressor and a boost leak tester to test for leaks.

it came off a running car so im assumeing it was good enough, i'm not going to offer him anything on it till i see it in person tomorrow

don't even both with that. It's gonna be a pain to make the piping too, the inlet or outlet points up.

i was thinkin about mounting it how it is in the bottom picture (except turn it around sideways).. my uncle does welding with aluminum so i can get the inlet/outlet redone if i absolutely needed it..

well those pictures make it look ALOT worse then it is, none of the tubes are broken/pinched/cracked, but there slightly bent, almost unnoticeable though.. its about three times the size of the one i have now so im hopein it'll suit my purpose's.. what do you guy's think? i havent bought it yet but plannin to in the next few day's if i can get thing's worked out
