running rich

hello, my car is running super rich, so rich i cant run higher boost cause it will run even worse. i plan to change the spark plugs, spark plug wires, install an SAFC, and 550cc injectors, and a hard intake pipe. is this good enough for the fuel systme or should i get a vpc and eliminate the mas? why did they discontinue the VPC anyway? im looking for the cheapest way, could i get an SAFC and leter on get a VPC and use them in conjunction? also how hard are the SAFC's and VPC's to intsall and adjust?

None of that addresses your problem. If you're running really rich, then something is wrong. Fix the problem before you go buying parts.

Actuly a SAFC could be used to "Mask" the problem, but yea thats still not fixing it.

I didn't see you list anything about your O2 sensor. I would check on that, if you have a friend that has a good runing dsm like yours maybe he would let you swap O2 sensors and see if you car runs better that day. If so then buy a new O2 sensor.

just replaced the o2 sensors. i think i just need some sort of fuel control.

I would try checking for boost leaks also

On the stock fuel system you should NOT be runing rich. (I am because of a damaged O2 sensor)

I think Maestr0 is probly write, I duno why I didn't sudjest that first. I guess because I am haveing bad luck with my O2 sensor.

Anyway look on VFAQ it will show you how to make a boost tester. Then pressureise your intake to whatever boost leavel you are runing at and check for leaks.

if the top bolt on the turbo leaks oil will that cause a boost leak?
