how do i hook up a datalogger to my 1g, do i need a harness? does it tap into the computer? were can i get the software and wiring instructions?

Is is not free. See TMO or PocketLOGGER's site.

the cable for TMO plugs into your diagnostic port. you need a laptop to use it. i would highly recommend it though. some people like the pocketlogger for its convenience, but i personally like the TMO software. you can pick up older laptops on ebay for CHEAP. they will do the trick.
