Well, I followed the instructions on this link:http://www.ecanfix.com/~aclifford/t...uperafc/afc.jpg on vfaq.com with installing my SAFC. Now, the only problem I have is with step 2, which is the one concerning the installer to solder the positive wire from the Knock LED to the one going to the ECU. I don't know where my Knock LED is or if it is a big deal on this install. Also, I am left with two other wires, a white one, and a yellow one. I don't know what the signifigance of these wires are either. When i turn on the car, the car idles really really rough... like its lean and about to die on me. i used a volt meter to check all the connections and they are good. i tripled checked all the connections according, and insulated them with electrical tape, to ensure no shorts, yet the car is really funny when i turn it on. Also i have a autometer gauge, and supposedly they share the same connection to hte blue wire on the SAFC wire in the diagram above.

the gauge doesnt work wheni turn on the car, unless i desolder the blue wire. i dont get it ... = (

any help would be great, thanks

White wire on AFC = airflow signal input from MAS to AFC
Yellow wire on AFC = airflow signal output from AFC to the car's ECU
Green wire on AFC = engine RPM signal
Black wire on AFC = ground (must be the same ground that is used to
ground the ECU to the car)
Red wire on AFC = main power to AFC unit
Blue wire on AFC is for twin turbo only. Insulate it.

thanx fast4wardTSi (copied and pasted from him) try pm him he might be able to help you with your SAFC he helped some1 else b4 with it.
Sorry I'm just a newbie....i also will need help with my AFC...

Is your car type set to Karmann.....very common mistake. Also make sure the throttle arrow is pointing up to the right, and cylinders are set at 4 (sometimes has to be 2 for the tach to read correctly).:)
