nope,
Just wondered what the AMPERAGE is coming from the O2 sensor. I assume it is probably >0.5A.

Also, the voltage is between 0 and 1V correct?

Well, the amperage from the O2 sensor is probably quite small. But my guess is that the amperage has nothing to do with the signal anyway, so I'm curious as to why you want to know?

I am just going to put a switch in-series with the O2 signal that is going to go to my A/F gauge that way I can turn off the 'blinky-blinky' if it gets annoying. I figure a 1A switch would do it, I just wanted to be sure.

Yeah, a 1A switch would definitely be good :)

I won't explain it, but the signal coming from the O2 sensor is basically voltage-only. The ECU, and whatever gauges you have only read the voltage from it, the amperage is very little.

In general, I guess you can think of it this way: Voltage is generally used when measuring things, and in anything digital, and current is used for doing things (making motors work, turning on lights, etc). In most sensors, and digital things, the current through the wires is very little.

Yeah, I know it's a Piezo crystal and it vibrates and generates a voltage I just don't have time to drive around with a DMM to find out what the max current was coming out. I just wanted to make sure that the switch I was going to use would be ok with the current the sensor was pushing, I knew it wasn't too much, just wondered if anyone knew.

Thanks!!
