I need help with this, I have no idea how to tune. My first question will be what boost will I be safe with on 92 pump gas.
Here are my mods:

VR-4 Fuel pump rewired
Hahn sidemount ic
ported 14b
3" o2/cat elim turboback
ported 2g exhaust manny
accel 8mm wires
ngk bpr7es plugs
ic pipes
1g bov

The DSMlink should be back to me mid next week, around the August 7th or so. I need to have the car tuned well by End of August for motor magic.

Have you checked the DSMLink bulletin board? There are tuning guides there.

Yes, and I dont really seem to find anything that explains in english to a newb.

LTFT - Long Term Fuel Trim
STFT - Short Term Fuel Trim
Global - WTF, what is this?
Timing - Can some explain what this does? pulling timing will do what? retarding the timing will do what?

Obviously more fuel means richer, less fuel means leaner.

I need some help, I really dont wanna melt a piston.:(

If you don't understand, leave it close to zero to start. From your two posts, it sounds like you havent read the Users Guide yet. Download that, and read it, it explains Global %, and deadtime, which are the two things you need to adjust to compensate for different injectors.

As far as the other thing you are asking about: S.G., Deadtime in the Options dialog, are only there to help you display calculated AFR using the softare. The place where you actually adjust the deadtime the ECU uses is in a different place. All of this is explained in the User Guide. Read it all before doing anything.

Once you have read the users guide and understand it, then go to the dsmlink forums, and download the Tuning a 2G DSM guide. It tells you what to do once you understand how the software and ECU works.

And as a moderator here, I am sure you are partial to asking questions here. But asking on the DSMLink forum makes more sense. Everyone who is on that forum has the product. And the guys that made DSMLink are there to answer your questions as well.

I guess I just want to learn at least the basics before I post there, such a newb would probly get flamed LOL. I have skimmed over those guides, but havent fully read them yet. I will try to do taht tonight. I have to go change my FP right now tho.

1. You should download the 2G Tuning Guide and read, pretty informative.

2. Adjust your Global Setting For injectors, and leave fuel and timing sliders zeroed.

3. Get your LTFT in tune, LTFT LO=idle LTFT MED = cruise. Do the procedure outlined in the tuning guide to get both of these trims as close to zero as you can.

4. Once you get your trims straight I would then start adjusting Fuel, Timing and boost in whatever order you feel comfortable.

The info on the DSMlink board is priceless, you can learn alot and should not be afraid to post a question. The only dumb question is the one that is not asked.
