i'm not sure where to put this post but i descovered the problem while attempting to tune for the first time.
my data logger reads 139.9 on my low fuel trim no mater what i did on the afc i couldn't get the number to change so i searched around a bit and descovered that the grond strap that i failed to reattach when running my exhaust could be the problem. well today i went to reattach the ground strap and i can't find it anywhere. is there a way to run a new ground? if so how and where from.

You can run a wire from any convenient bolt on the body/frame to the downpipe. Just make sure the wire gets good contact with clean metal at both ends.
 
The idea that you need a ground strap is a very stupid one, the O2 senser has ample connection to the ground through the exhaust and the motor.

I believe the purpose of the ground strap is to relieve static electricity from the exhaust.

Have you PRESSURE TESTED for boost leaks?

Have to checked for vacuum leaks between the MAF and the turbo?

How is your O2 sensor?

Are you sure the AFC is working properly?

What does the O2 sensor signal look like?

It may not be actual static, but I am pretty sure it is to keep feedback from screwing up the electrical system. All that hot air running through the metal piping does create some weird electronic buildup, IIRC.

I challenge you to do this: With the ground strap off the way yours is now, use a multimeter to measure the resistance from the O2 housing to a good ground on the chassis. Then, have someone with a DP ground strap do the same thing. Better yet, have a couple people do that same thing. See what happens.

Actual data is the only thing worth a damn here, not "I think, I heard, I thought, someone said" etc.

i have not pressure tested for boost leaks yet.

i have checked for vacuum leaks and havn't found any.

i don't know if the o2 sensor is good. is there a way to check with a multimeter? if so let me know and i'll check.

i'm pretty sure the afc is working properly because the o2 trim changes when i adjust the afc.

the o2 signal is .09v
 
yeah. as soon as i get my translator i will be running a gm mas but right now i am running a hacked 1g mas

Pressure test it!!

The O2 trim is always changing, so it would be hard to tell if the AFC was effecting anything. However, as the O2 trim changes, the other fuel trims should change too.

The O2 signal is NOT always .09v.....at least, I sure hope not!
