Ok 98' GS-T , was tuning my XBC the other day turned too much overboosted about 5 psi. I was shooting for about 14psi. Well now I have a check engine light, i'm on my stock fuel pump so i'm assuming the ecu just picked up the lean mix and triggered the check engine. It was an accident so I didn't hold it I let off the accelerator as soon as I saw it jump above 15 and shut off the car. I drove it that night no problems, and started it today nothing unusual. Could I have srewed up something else that i'm not seeing due to the overboost?

No, boost spike (is kind of what you did) to 15 psi stock is prob. not going to do any damage. Notice I said probly cause I don't know the condition of your engine. I am running my stock t25 with hard upper and lower pipes and I boost 15 psi and run totally fine with my stock fuel system.

On mine it spikes to 15 and drops to 14 and stays like that. I have done alot of hard pulls and it stays strong. I have an EGT and I know what my temps are atleast. I don't tune with it, but I do have it to see what types of temps my engine is seeing. I did put it to 20 psi for a night and it ran fine, just started stuttering (fuel cut) so I turned it right back down and checked everything.

My profile is full of items like 20g and fmic, but they are sitting here waiting to be put on together. I am waiting on my 255 fuel pump then it all goes in. I am just telling you from what my engine (42,000 miles) but I am in know way telling you how you should or can run yours. Just have fun and play safe!
