if i get some gt plus sonoco 104 in my car, and i still have the stock turbo, intercooler, and fuel system, is twenty as safe psi?

also lets say i get a 225lph fuel pump and a pressure regulator, what then?

Thanks.

Is it even worth running a T-25 at 20psi? A new FP would probably be a good idea when you go past 16psi. Also do you have any sort of fuel control?

IMO it's not worth the risk running a T-too small at 20psi.

The point is that at 20psi the T25 is doing almost more heating than compressing.

Remember, our cars have fuel pressure regulators. In order to keep the delta-P across the injector constant, they increase fuel pressure one-pound for every pound increase in boost. Base fuel pressure is 43 psi and with 20 psig boost, you will be asking your pump to provide 63 psi of fuel. It cannot flow enough fuel at up there. You have a much greater risk of running lean and doing bad things to your engine.

There are guys running 24 psig on pump gas with the proper equipment. I have run 22 psi on my 14B with 100-octane. Nothing over 18 psi on the 14B and stock intercooler seem to do much--just more hot air as MNGSX said. Octane is only knock resistance of a specific fuel. At 20 psi, the air from your T25 would be so hot, 104 might not even be enough to prevent detonation. I would suggest a lower boost setting until you get a few more mods.

read this and you will have a better hold on what your t25 can handle. It IS less efficent past 15psi, but it will make power past that.

It is not recommended to do this to a daily driver, but I wouldn't consider a DSM with a T-25 a full race mod. car. So if you do it chances are it will be on a daily driver.

Just be prepared to replace it faster than if you ran it lower than 15psi. Even with 104 octane.
