sup peeps

Its time to put cams in my head! I have all the supporting mods to the head and fuel tunning via MAFT>660s>255 walbro

Depending on what cams I go with, are cam gears necessary?

I'm wondering on how much cam gears would help out anyways?

Anyone have cams and cam gears on their ride? if so which ones? and how do they perform for you at what settings?

Thanks

HKS cams do not "need" cam gears, but Web cams and Crowers have been known to need them.

If you really want, you can use cam gears on any cams, and you can dyno the car to see where they should be set at. However, not many people use them, so I would expect the gains to be minimal for the hassle.

From what I've gathered here and elsewhere

1. A dyno is needed
2. Not all cams need aftermarket cam gears
most hks don't, Crower and webcam race specs will most likely
3. Money will be spent on porting instead :)
4. Speed = money
5. a 4G63t will fit in the trunk of my 93 cutlass supreme, just got a new 6 bolt, haha, anyone want a fresh head?
6. I'm gonna blow my motor sky high this friday, 25PSI on race gas should do it if my tranny doesn't go first.
