Ok, I have new at the tuning so be gentle. Here is the deal. At trying to run 18 lbs or more I am getting terrible knock. I will get 6 counts or more. I am using the link and when I have the timing sliders at 0 across I get bad knock. I actually decreased the timing to below the zero bar and it seemed liked it helped a little.

On my third gear pulls my O2 volts are arounf .92-.94 . arounf 4000 rpms and up is when I see the knock. I can not get any more than 8 degrees advance, 10 if I am lucky

I know I should be doing better than this on 18 psi and pump gas with a 50 trim. Anyone else think itcold be a bad knock sensor?

Thanx

The only other thing that I can think that could be causing the knock is possibly a boost leak, if you have one the turbo might be working that much harder to produce boost and contributing to the increased knock.

well I swapped knock sensors and it helped a little but I am still getting timing pulled. I am going to run MCCC through it friday. Any good reports of this decreasing knock count.

Oh and Jihan.... thanx for your helpful input

How are you seeing knock in your 2g? Do you have DSMlink?

im having the same kinda problems on my 20g, i get horrible knock even at somewhat low boost, im cleaning mine with MCCC and putting new TB shaft seals and spark plugs

i did a run a while back and got like 0 knock at 18psi with -25 on the afc and now i do a run at 18psi with -18 on the afc and i get 20+ knock

at the track i was only able to trap 108 on racegas at like 22psi, i was like wtf, so i gotta fix something too, i was hitting like 101-104 on pump, but its weird cuz my friends 02 camaro traps 104 and i have walked him pretty good on pump gas on the street before but at the track he was pulling me until i put racegas in UGHHH

Quick reminder, there is a proper torque for knock sensors, if they are too tight they become more sensitive and too loose......you get the idea.

To hell with O2 voltage. Chances are that sensor is off ten times more than your knock sensor is. What size injectors, what base pressure, and what global/sliders settings? Is your global and dead time set correctly, and if so, what AF ratio does DSMlink indicate assuming you have the options box setup correctly?
