EVO cams in a 1G 6bolt?

I am not sure if this question has been discussed, but is it possible to run the cams out of an EVO in our motors. If it is possible, does it make better power than for example the HKS cams that are available? I have friends in Japan that could get these cams all day long if I wanted them. If anyone knows the answer, or can point me to a previously run thread, that would be cool. Thanks.

Depends on what yr cams, the Early EVO's, would fit, but I think they are the same as ours. DON't QUOTE ME ON THAT. But the new EVO cams are different because the cam gears are on the opposite side.

I was curious about this also. the cam gears are only on the opposite side because the engine and tranny are opposite. i don't know if the lift and duration are the same but the dealer can tell you the specs and can sell them for about $500.00.Also they are hollow so they are lighter.
